Povestea DBE 4 a ajuns la un nou capitol: stabilirea pretului biletului de intrare la eveniment.

Mai mult, noi, DonisArt, oscilam intre a oferi oportunitatea celui interesat de a-si putea procura bilet pentru fiecare din zile sau doar pentru un abonament integral.

Decizia finala o vom lua dupa ce vor fi ascultate si parerile celor ce doresc sa participe… ne place sa credem ca vor fi completate cele doua campuri de mai jos de fiecare din cei care vor sa sustina platforma DBE prin propria participare… ne va fi si noua mai usor sa estimam mai bine numarul de suflete doritor de o noua experienta atipica, neconventionala, sincera…

The DBE4 story has reached a new chapter: it is now time to set the ticket price for the event.

Nevertheless, the DonisArt team is not sure whether or not it should be offering to interested parties the opportunity to purchase tickets for each day, or to go for the full pass only.

The final decision will be made after hearing the opinions of those who want to attend… we like to think that the two fields below will be filled in by each of those who want to support the DBE platform through their own participation… it will also be easier for us for a better evaluation of the number of souls eager to attend a new atypical, unconventional, sincere experience…

A venit timpul sa anuntam detaliile concrete si, probabil, asteptate despre DBE 4… Astfel, incepand cu data de 10 ianuarie, in fiecare marti si vineri din urmatoarele saptamani vor fi dezvaluite, pe rand, numele trupelor ce vor onora invitatia DonisArt… vor fi prezenti peste 70 de muzicieni din 10 tari europene, aflati sub contractul a 13 case de discuri mai mult mai putin nisate, promotori ai diversitatii muzicale, de la Metal, Post-Rock, Country, Ambient sau Nefolk pana la Experimental Drone, Psychedelic, Space Rock sau Post-Industrial… vor fi multe exprimari in premiera pentru Romania, vor fi recitaluri pregatite si adaptate special pentru DBE 4… dar, poate cel mai important aspect, oamenii din spatele acestor portative vin cu inima deschisa pentru a cunoaste prieteni ce imbratiseaza normalitatea, simplitatea si Spiritul Underground… fara conditionari, restrictii sau artificii comerciale… fara opening band, headliner, organizator, presa, fan… doar respect, bun simt si voie buna!

Dark Bombastic Evening 4, 17-18 August 2012… A platform… an expression… a honest wish of beautiful souls, ready for a new/first “ritual” in Alba Iulia fortress… in RYMA areas… away from the world, turmoil, everyday… between and among friends…

It’s time to announce the concrete and probably awaited details about DBE 4… Therefore, starting with the 10th of January, every Tuesday and Friday of the following weeks, the bands honoring the invitation of DonisArt will be one by one announced… over 70 musicians from 10 European countries will be present, under the contract of more than 13 more or less known record labels, promoters of musical diversity, from Metal, Post-Rock, Country, Ambient or Neofolk to Experimental Drone, Psychedelic, Space Rock pr Post-Industrial… many expressions for the first time in Romania, recitals prepared and specially fit for DBE 4… but, maybe the most important aspect, the people behind these stalls come with an open heart to meet friends who embrace triviality, simplicity and the Underground Spirit… without conditions, restrictions or commercial artifices… without opening band, headliner, organizer, press, fan… only respect, common sense and good vibes!

Daca ne uitam pe calendar, ar mai fi 277 de zile pana la DBE 4… ceea ce ne-ar face sa credem ca ar mai fi timp din belsug. In realitate, s-a lucrat intens in ultima luna pentru stabilirea line-up-ului final, pentru rezervari de avioane si alte detalii financiaro-logistice. Cert pana in acest moment este ca DBE 4 va prezenta prietenilor si sustinatorilor Spiritului Underground 16 trupe din 10 tari, din care doar doua au mai fost in Romania, dar care vor veni in 2012 cu alte materiale sau in alta componenta. Au fost mai multe scenarii, diverse simulari, insa am ales trupele care credem ca rezoneaza cu atmosfera DBE si care si-au dorit cu adevarat sa se alature prietenilor DBE in vara urmatoare. Nu vor exista headlineri, nu vor exista trupe de deschidere…. ne vom bucura doar de prezenta prietenilor de pretutindeni care vin sa sustina o cauza si sa impartaseasca cu cei prezenti experiente originale, interesante, unice…   

Noi, DonisArt, gandim ca, pe 17 si 18 august 2012, la Alba Iulia, sa oferim altceva decat un clasic sau obisnuit festival… DBE se doreste a fi o exprimare sincera pentru suflete frumoase ce doresc sa petreaca un weekend de poveste intre zidurile unei fortarete fascinante, alaturi de muzicieni ce se vor amesteca printre fani, care vor sta de vorba cu ei si se vor bucura de o Atmosfera Frumoasa, plina de Normalitate, relaxanta!  

In urmatoarele zile vom vizita prietenii de la RYMA, care ne-au informat deja ca au lucrat din greu in ultimele saptamani pentru ca spatiile administrate de ei sa fie si mai ospitaliere decat au fost la DBE 3. Suntem si noi curiosi sa vedem ce surprize ne mai pregatesc gazdele noastre…

If we take a quick look at the calendar you can see that there are more than 277 days to go until DBE4… so you might think there’s plenty of time left. In reality, we’ve been working hard in the last month to set the line-up, book flights and sort out other financial and logistic details. Up until now we know for sure that DBE 4 will present the friends and supporters of the Underground Spirit with 16 bands from 10 countries, from which 2 have already been to Romania but in 2012 they will be joining us with fresh materials and a different line-up. We had diverse scenarios in mind, and a few rehearsals already took place, but we finally chose the bands who we think will resonate with the DBE atmosphere. We also took into account their willingness to join the DBE family next summer. There will be no headliners, no opening acts… we’re just going to sit back and enjoy the time with friends from around the world, who are coming to support the cause and to share with other guests their own unique, original, interesting experiences. 

DonisArt wants to offer on the 17th and 18th of August 2012 in Alba Iulia something more than your average festival. DBE strives to be a sincere expression of the beautiful souls who are willing to spend a weekend between the walls of this fascinating fortress, alongside musicians who will mingle with fans, will talk to them and will enjoy a Beautiful normal, relaxing and friendly Atmosphere! 

In the following days, we will visit our friends from RYMA, who already brought to our attention the fact that for the past weeks they have been working hard to make the place better than it was last year. We’re curious ourselves to see what surprises our hosts have in stored for us.

DBE 4… un nou ritual!

Dark Bombastic Evening s-a nascut din dorinta de a sustine stiluri muzicale nisate ale unor trupe ce respecta si promoveaza Spiritul Underground intr-un mod calitativ si neconditionat. Daca prima editie a fost o Seara Speciala in decembrie 2009, in clubul The Silver Church, editia a doua a fost sustinuta in Kulturhaus, pe durata a doua zile, un an mai tarziu. In vara acestui an, DBE a devenit festival outdoor, intre zidurile cetatii Alba Iulia.

In 2012, in al treilea weekend din luna august, platforma DBE va poposi din nou in acea prietenoasa locatie RYMA, din acea miraculoasa dar inca necunoscuta cetate… pentru o noua intalnire cu prietenii, pentru un nou ritual!

Noi, DonisArt, am citit si ascultat toate sugestiile celor ce au dorit sa-si exprime parerile legate de un posibil line-up la DBE 4. Unii vor fi multumiti pentru ca vor regasi nume din cele mentionate de ei, altii vor fi incantati sa descopere si trupe pe care le propunem noi… iar altii, din pacate, vor fi mai putin atrasi de line-up-ul ce va fi anuntat si nu vor dori sa se alature exprimarii DBE… Dupa cum am mai spus-o, nu dorim sa repetam an de an aceleasi experiente, nu ne propunem sa ramanem ancorati doar in anumite stiluri muzicale… oameni frumosi cu muzici interesante exista in orice stil, trebuie doar sa-i descoperim.. iar descatusarea de energii si ruperea de cotidianul gri vor ramane cam singurele repere pe care le vom accepta a fi repetitive!

Vom invita totusi si trupe care au mai fost la DBE, daca acestea vor avea ceva nou si deosebit sa ne prezinte, pentru a asigura o continuitate al acestui concept muzical unic (inca) in Romania… Insa vom aduce de fiecare data si trupe in premiera aici, mai putin cunoscute, chiar complet necunoscute, dar care consideram ca au ceva special sa ne impartaseasca! Pana la urma asta ne place, sa sustinem Underground-ul de calitate… apreciem, respectam si indragim trupele “cap de afis”, insa nu e tinta noastra a le integra in platforma DBE, in acest concept fragil si balansat discret, unde nu exista headliners sau opening-bands!

Ne-am uitat pe calendar si mai sunt 295 de zile… avem timp din belsug! Am stabilit si agreat, de principiu, trupele participante, mai ramane sa decidem in urmatoarele zile daca vor fi cate 7 sau 8 exprimari pe seara… Discutam de muzicieni prieteni din peste 10 tari, probabil ca nu doar din Europa.

DBE 4… a new ritual!

Dark Bombastic Evening was born from the wish of supporting similar musical styles belonging to bands that respect and promote the Underground Spirit qualitatively and unconditionally. If the first edition was a Special Evening in December 2009, in The Silver Church club, the second one was held in Kulturhaus, for two days, one year later. In this year’s summer, DBE became an outdoor festival, between the walls of Alba Iulia citadel.

In 2012, in the third weekend from August, DBE platform will once again halt in the friendly RYMA location, from that miraculous, yet unknown fortress… for a new meeting with friends, for a new ritual!

We, DonisArt, read and listened every suggestions of those who wished to expressed their opinions about a possible DBE 4 line-up. Some will be content for they will find names mentioned by them, others will be happy to also discover bands we propose… and others, unfortunately, will be less attracted by the soon to be announced line-up and won’t join the DBE expression… As I already mentioned, we don’t want to repeat year by year the same experiences, we don’t put in mind to remain anchored in certain musical styles… beautiful people with interesting music exist in every style, we just have to discover them… and unchaining by energies and breaking away from the grey everyday will remain the only landmarks we will accept to be repetitive!

Still, we will invite bands that have already been to DBE, if they will have something new and particular to show us, to assure a continuity of this (yet) unique musical concept in Romania… But we will always bring bands for the first time too, less known, even completely unknown ones that we consider to have something special to share! After all, that’s what we like, to support quality Underground… we appreciate, respect and love these “headliners”, but it’s not our aim to integrate them in the DBE platform, in this frail and discreetly balanced concept, where there are no headliners or opening bands!

We looked at the calendar and there are 295 more days… we have plenty of time! We established and basically agreed upon the attending bands, we just have to decide in the next days if there will be 7 or 8 expressions per night… We speak about musician friends from over 10 countries, probably not only from Europe.
